Kristina is a Filipino artist that is currently based in Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2020 with a BFA in Design and Illustration. During the fall of 2021, Kristina was an art mentee for "Scholastic's Art Mentorship Program" as well as for "Women in Animation" where she gained more experience in children's publishing and the animation pipeline.
She has experience working in multiple programs such as PhotoshopCC, IllustratorCC, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, Blender, ZBrush, and Autodesk Maya. Kristina is also experienced in traditional art-making such as oil painting, gouache, pencils, and clay sculpting.
Her art is generally inspired by fantastical magic along with warm, soft colors in which she strives to create heartwarming feelings. She really loves creating pieces that tell a story or simply cute illustrations that pulls heartstrings. Some topics that inspire her work are animated Ghibli films, animals, Filipino culture & folklore.
Aside from illustration, Kristina is the owner of Momotin Studio, an arts and crafts business dedicated to creating functional, cute art and handmade novelty goods.
When she’s not drawing, she enjoys baking sweet and savory desserts, playing console games, or cuddling with her chi-apso dog named Mochi.
Kristina is currently looking for positions in animation and PB/MG illustration work.
